Spring  is here and Summer is just around the corner, so that means it’s finally time to bring out our gas grills in Rocky Mount, NC. 1. Cinnamon Rolls on a Stick

This recipes serves 5 people and is an interesting and fun way to serve cinnamon rolls while out grilling. Who doesn’t love food on a stick? Follow the directions below to try it.
What You Need:

  • Package of Cinnamon Rolls
  • Skewers

What To Do:

  1. Wrap each cinnamon roll onto your choice of skewer.
  2. Roast over fire like you would a marshmallow
  3. Make sure to rotate to evenly cook through.
  4. Cover it with icing or enjoy it on its own

2. Campfire Orange Cakes

At Daughtridge Energy, we always love the chance to cook baked goods on the grill. Serving 8-12, this citrusy and chocolaty treat is perfect for the spring nights ahead. Check out how to make it happen below.
What You Need:

  • Box cake mix
  • Oranges
  • Aluminum foil
  • Whipped cream

What To Do:

  1. Prepare box cake mix according to instructions and then set aside
  2. Cut ⅓ of the top of the oranges off
  3. Scoop out the meat of the orange. (note: save to make orange juice later!)
  4. Fill up the orange bowl with the cake batter up to ¾ of the way full.
  5. Place the orange top back on and wrap it in aluminum foil.
  6. Place it on the grill and roast it according to directions on cake mix
  7. Make sure to rotate halfway to make sure it cooks evenly.
  8. Carefully peel off the foil and take the top off
  9. Top it with whipped cream and enjoy!

3. S’mores Banana Split

As you know, we love making s’mores on our propane gas grills. That’s why we love this s’mores-banana hybrid. Each banana serves 1 and makes a perfect sweet treat to enjoy on your patio. Read the instructions below to try it.
What You Need:

  • Banana
  • Chocolate
  • Marshmallows
  • Aluminum foil

How To Make It:

  1. With the peel on, slice the banana down the middle
  2. Make sure not to cut through.
  3. Stuff the banana with marshmallows and chocolate
  4. Wrap in foil and roast on low heat for 10 minutes rotate halfway
  5. Carefully unwrap and scoop out and enjoy!
